The Riesel Indians dominated the 2-game Area round series with the Gorman Panthers, taking game 1 (12-3) and then eliminating the Panthers in game 2 by 8, 9-1. The Panthers had a hard time putting the ball in play. The Indians pitching staff struck out 16 Panthers in game 1 and then 13 batters in game 2. Overall, 29 of 42 outs were record by Riesel with the ‘K’.
