Mildred E. Childers Obituary

      Mildred E. Childers, age 90, of Rising Star passed away, Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Brownwood, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Rising Star, Texas with Terry Simmons officiating. The burial will follow the service at the Rising Star Cemetery in Rising Star, Texas. The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, February 5 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Higginbotham Funeral Home, 309 N. E. 4th Street, Cross Plains, Texas.

   Mildred was born on July 21, 1925 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Edgar Vise and Myrtle Pickle. She was an insurance agent for many years and had her Insurance business in Rising Star for many years.  

   Mildred is survived by her 5 sons, Kent Poynor of Dallas, Texas; Grant Poynor of Reeds Spring, Missouri; Tom Childers of Stephenville, Texas; John Childers of Marlow, Oklahoma; Russ Poynor of McKinney, Texas; daughters,  Brenda Fuller of Grand Saline, Texas; Kava Thompson of Cisco, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Myrtle Pickle-Vise.
