In the 83rd edition of the Eastland County Showdown, the Cisco Lobo defense made the stops when needed to preserve a 7-point victory, 29-22. The Eastland Mavericks were down 29-15 as the fourth quarter began. After trading possessions, the Mavericks had the ball with just over 7 minutes left to play in regulation.
