Lobo Defense Dominates Indians In Shutout

“D” gives up only 54 yards, 4 first downs
By Stephen Forester

There was some concern going into the 2014 season in the Lobo nation about filling the gaps that Mason Reed and Kaleb Rains left in the defense. After 3 games and 2 defensive shutouts at home, that concern has vanished. The Cisco Loboes dominated both sides of the ball on Friday evening to shutout the visiting Comanche Indians 43-0 in Week 3 of the season. The shutout is the 2nd of the season for the Lobo defense, not allowing a touchdown against Breckenridge in Week 1. The dominating Lobo “D” gave up only 54 yards in the heavy mist Friday (24 passing and 30 rushing). It was deep into the first quarter before the Indians picked up their 1st first down and would only pick up 3 more.
