Sales Tax Holiday Set For August 5-7

This year Texas Sales Tax Holiday is August 5 through 7. According to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts website, the law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.
