Governing Body – City of Ranger
Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Ranger, Texas will be held on Monday, July, 27, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall, 400 West Main Street, Ranger, Texas. The following subjects will be discussed, to wit:
Agenda Item 01: Call to Order- Mayor Pilgrim
Roll Call-City Secretary
Prayer
Pledge of Allegiance to United States Flag
Pledge of Allegiance to Texas Flag
Agenda Item 02: Citizen’s Presentation-At this time, anyone on the list will be allowed to speak on any matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for a length of time not to exceed THREE minutes. No Council/Board discussion or action may take place on a matter until such matter has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with law.
Agenda Item 03: Announcements from City Council-Comments may be made by council or staff, BUT NO ACTION TAKEN on the following topics without specific notice. Those items include: Expressions of Thanks, Congratulations or Condolence; Information on Holiday schedules; Recognition of public officials, employees or citizens other than employees or officials whose status may be affected by the council through action; Reminders of community events or announcements involving an imminent threat to the public health and safety of the people of the municipality.

$100 a month from the 2015-2016 City budget- Rhonda Howie
Agenda Item 05: Discuss/Consider approval of request to abandon unimproved portion of 7th Street from Foch to Haig Street – Bernadette Lipkin
Agenda Item 06: Discuss/Consider with possible action regarding collection of Pool Funds deposited with First Financial Bank – Mayor Pilgrim
Agenda Item 07: Discuss/Consider approval of bills—City Administrator
Agenda Item 08: Discuss/Consider approval to consider possible action to order a “Special Election” in November for the purpose of reauthorization of local sales and use tax in the City of Ranger at the rate of one-fourth of 1% to continue providing revenue for the maintenance and repair of municipal streets – Mayor Pilgrim
Agenda Item 09: Discuss/Consider approval of Resolution No. 2015-07-27-J; A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RAGER AUTHORIZING THE CITY SECRETARY TO OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT AT FIRST FINANCIAL BANK, RANGER, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING AN ACCOUNT FOR FUNDS TO BE DSPOSITED FROM TWO HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT OPPORTUNITIES FOR
PRE HAZARD MITIGATION AND PRE DISASTER FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS – City Administrator
Agenda Item 09: Discuss/Consider approval of Minutes of June 13, 2015 and June 27, 2015 - City Secretary
Agenda Item 10: Discuss/Consider approval to lease Vietnam Veteran’s Park to Vietnam Veterans Committee on a 99 year lease with clause in lease that should this committee becomes inactive the lease is null and void – Commissioner John Casey

Convenient and readily available to the general public at all times, and notice was posted by 5:30 p.m., July 24, 2015 and remained posted for 72 hours preceeding the scheduled time of the meeting.
