Roger Dail Boone Obituary
Roger Dail Boone, 71, went home to be with the Lord on December 3 2015 after a courageous battle with bone marrow cancer.
Service will be Sunday, December 6th at 1 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland. Burial will be in the Vera Cemetery in Vera, TX. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, December 5th from 5-7 p.m.
Roger was born April 18, 1944 to Hershel Harlan and Martha (Murphree) Boone in Knox County TX. He attended Seymour schools with the class of 1963. He was a retired gas plant operator and a lifetime farmer, along with many other skills. He became an ordained deacon in 1985. He married Patricia Ann Smith in Seymour, TX at Calvary Baptist Church on October 30, 1961.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann of 54 years, son, Thomas Dail of Eastland, daughter, Sheila LeAnne and husband Mike Forbus of Jacksboro, son, Matthew Dail and wife Rachel of Abilene, daughter, Christina Beatrice and husband Johnny Mackey of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, sister, Reda and husband Clint Ford of Carbon, brother, Hoyt and wife Carolyn of Carbon, and sister, Vonda and husband Tim Streiff of Carbon. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren which was the pride of his life.
Pallbearers will be; Tanner Whitsel, Dalton Whitsel, Jon Johnson, Phillip Allen, J.J. Caswell, and Cory Streiff. Honorary Pallbearers are: Chap Boone, Steven Boone, John Boone, Adam Boone, and Ben Wright.
