Murlynn Enckhausen Obituary
RANGER – Murlynn Enckhausen, age 85 of Ranger and formerly of Justin, TX left this life to join her husband in Heaven. She passed away at home in the care of her loving daughter and son-in-law.
Murlynn was born August 9, 1929 in Spirit Lake, Iowa to Murle and Beth Yarns Norton. She graduated High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Education from North Texas State University. The day after her college graduation she married the love of her life William E. Enckhausen and was blessed to share nearly 50 years with him. Murlynn loved children and it showed in her career choice after college. She opened and ran a private early education and daycare center. There she taught Kindergarten and first grade. Murlynn was also very artistic and loved to paint in oils; she even owned a craft store at one time. She loved animals and was a collector of antiques. Murlynn was also a lover of chocolate and would often sneak cookies for her and her dog. Murlynn had a deep love of life and a wonderful sense of humor.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Murl and Beth Norton and her dearly loved husband, William.
Murlynn is survived by one son, William E. Enckhausen Jr. and his wife Marti of Canton and two daughters: Linda Lee Goodman of Wills Point and Kim McDaniel and her husband Earl of Ranger. She is survived by one sister, Virginia McBeth of Kingswood, TX, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered with celebration and will be deeply missed.
