Bankhead highway has set the pace for highway building. On the Texas mileage of this highway more than seven varieties of material and different methods of construction have been used. From the Dallas County line to a point west of Arlington it is concrete, then comes a stretch of asphalt macadam, and then one mile of vilified brick, this to the eastern city limits of Fort Worth.
