Star Pride Plans Sept. 6 Giant Bake Sale At Star Grocery

According to Star Pride President, Barbara Medley, plans are underway for a giant bake sale in front of Star Grocery on Hwy. 36 East in Rising Star on September 6 in conjunction with the Downtown Open Air Market. After taking the hottest summer months off from baking, the members are ready to work again for fund raisers to complete a few more projects around town. Of course, these projects all cost money and so it’s time to bake a selection of goods to “fill the till” as well as supply tasty items for citizens and this area and our loyal customers. The group plans to have cakes, pies, cobblers, cookies and any other items requested or that they can imagine!
