Pioneer Memorial Day Observance Program Monday

The Pioneer Memorial Day Observance Program is set for Monday, May 26, 2014. The program is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM and will be held under the Pioneer Veterans Memorial Pavilion located near the War Memorial and the flagpole. The cemetery is located on Highway 36 between Cross Plains and Rising Star. The program is planned to pay tribute and respect to all veterans with a more specific homage to WWI and WWII veterans from the Pioneer area who lost their lives. Our speaker this year will be Eastland County Judge Rex Fields. Judge Fields is a native of Cisco and a graduate of
Cisco High School, Cisco Junior College, Tarleton State University and Hardin Simmons University.
