Memorial Day Observance Held At Pioneer Cemetery

The annual Memorial Day Observance held at the Pioneer Cemetery on May 26, 2014, was well attended by many local and out of town citizens who came to show respect and gratitude to veterans everywhere. Stuart Sowell began the program with the flag raising, following a special presentation of “Old Glory” by John Swift. Mr. Bob McCowen welcomed the audience and followed with the Invocation. The National Anthem was led by Rhonda Swift, and Jurnee Thomas led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
