Firefighter examines damage

Ranger Residence Saved from Fire Sunday

By Justin Brundin

A Ranger resident was fortunate when the Ranger Volunteer Fire Department saved his home from a fire on Sunday. Firefighters responded to a call of heavy smoke coming from the underside of the home and responded in preparation for a house fire. Upon arrive, firefighters located the source of the smoke underneath the living room at the front of the residence. Dry conditions combined with high winds led to the ignition of materials at the base of the house, which spread across the front of the house and up a small section of the Northeastern wall.
