Multiple Fires Extinguished in Ranger

High winds fueled multiple simultaneous grass fires along the Westbound I-20 on Tuesday in Ranger. A fast multi-agency response, including Ranger, Eastland and Olden Volunteer Fire Departments quelled the fires within 45 minutes of their report. One home that was in the path of the fire was spared due to early containment. Eastland County Today will update as more information becomes available.
