On Monday June 28th 2016, Ranger held a regularly scheduled meeting, and opened with prayer and Pledge to the U. S. and Texas flags. With the 4th of July fast approaching, the council approved the closing of streets on either side of the Ranger Care Center for Friday, July 1st. The blocking of the roads will cause no traffic flow issues, and was requested by the nursing home in order to provide games, cotton candy machines, and other activities for families during their Independence Day celebration.
