Wakako Tachikawa Lavender was born on October 16, 1927, in Tochigi PRF. Ashikaga City, Japan to Tanokichi and Haru (Sato) Tachikawa.
In the early 1960s Mrs. Lavender, husband Leonard Gale Lavender, and children relocated to be stationed in Michigan. Shortly after she became a widow.
She then decided to reside in Cisco, TX along with her children.
Mrs. Lavender spent her time ranching with sons, sewing, visiting family overseas, and spending quality time with grandchildren. She dedicated many years to
Boss manufacturing, and retired from Russell Newman. She enjoyed lengthy conversations over cups of tea with Hisako Mayfield.
Mrs. Lavender went to join her Heavenly Father on May 25, 2016 with family by her side. Preceded in death by her daughter Sammy Kay Lavender, husband
Leonard Gale Lavender, and five brothers. She is survived by her sister Shizue Tachikawa-Nagashima, sons Paul Leonard Lavender and Samuel Houston Lavender;
numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
At her request no services will be held stateside. Mrs. Lavender will be laid to rest alongside her daughter Sammy Kay Lavender and husband Leonard Gale Lavender
in Tochigi PRF. Ashikaga City, Japan.
Mrs. Lavender will be greatly missed by many members of surrounding communities and dearly missed by all her loved ones.
