Norene Pittman Obituary

RISING STAR – Norene Pittman, 97, of Rising Star died Saturday, September 10, 2016 in a Rising Star care center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m.

Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Clyde.  A private burial will follow in the Blake Cemetery in Brown County.

Visitation will be on Monday from noon until service time at the funeral home. 

Norene was born July 12, 1919 in Williams Community in Brown County to Lee and Della (Haynes) Roberts. She was a lifetime resident of the Rising Star

area and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. She married F.W. “Case” Pittman in Brownwood on December 23, 1939.

Norene is survived by her son Franz Pittman and wife Sara of Cooper; daughter Loretta Rutledge and husband J.D. of Rising Star; brother Bill Roberts of Corsicana;

sister Laverne Lee of Rising Star; grandchildren, Jimmy Dale Rutledge, Shawn Rutledge, Chad Rutledge, Mark Pittman, Blaine Pittman, Molly Phillips and

Ashley Jessen; great-grandchildren, Avery Mac Phillips, Cole Henry Phillips, Casey David Phillips, Parker Rutledge, Paige Rutledge, Knox Pittman,

Lisette Pittman, Leo Pittman, Lily Jessen and Vivian Jessen and daughter in law Becky Pittman of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Kenneth Pittman, brother Bobby Roberts, sisters Doris Hubbard and

Eulala Stover and a great granddaughter Mary Agnes Pittman.
