Kenneth “ K.C., Kenny” Ray Clayton Bell Obituary

CLYDE – Kenneth “ K.C., Kenny” Ray Clayton Bell, 74, of Clyde died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at a Baird care center.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Sellers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the funeral home.

 

Kenny was born March 26, 1940 in Atwell, Texas to Charlie Walter and Jeffie Wilburn (Nigar) Bell.  He attended school in Cross Plains and joined the U. S. Air Force in May 1958.  Kenny married Kay Fuller May 21, 1983 in Cisco.  Prior to moving to Clyde, Kenny was a Constable of Lincoln County in Arkansas for six years; he worked for the Arkansas Department of Corrections in the Cummins and Varner Units for 12 ½ years and was on the Volunteer Fire Department in Gould, Arkansas.  They moved to Clyde from North Carolina in 2008.  Kenny was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Clyde, Fraternal Order of the Odd Fellows and Cross Plains American Legion.  

 

Kenny is survived by his wife Carla Kay of Clyde; one son, Kevin Bell Leonard and wife Kathy of Rising Star; four daughters, Kim Beshanky and husband Lubec of Nolanville, Texas, Denise Touchstone and husband Greg of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Christi Porter of Conway, Arkansas and Cherie Adams of Ocala, Florida; three daughters and their children whom he raised as his own, Brandy, Carla, Shelley; two brothers, Ronnie Bell and wife Sharelynn of Cross Plains and Terry Bell and wife Dana of Clyde; two sisters-in-laws, Venita Bell and Theresa Bell both of Clyde; six grandchildren, Danielle Orenzow, Mikel Carter, Kaylon Touchstone, Chad Porter, Clay Touchstone and Hannah Porter and three great grandchildren, Luc and Carter Orenzow and Mason Carter.  

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charlie and Eddie Bell and two sisters, Charlene “Sis” Tucker and Wanda Bell.
