Alice June Lewis Hanson
   Alice June Lewis Hanson, 76, of Ranger and formerly of De Leon, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015, in Abilene.
She was born March 1, 1939, in Desdemona, Texas, to Robert Leo Lewis and Grace Florene Lane Lewis.
June was a member of St. Joe Baptist Church. She worked many years asa seamstress for Harvell Clothing Factory.
June loved caring for her house plants, gardening, reading, and spending time with her little dog, Bambi. She enjoyed
spending time with her many friends and loving family.
   June is survived by her daughter, Judy Denice Anderson; son, Jack Hanson; grandchildren, Amber Hanson, Cody
Anderson, Bradley McCann, Brandy Hanson and Wesley Dean Hanson; sisters, Zoe Shoemaker and Linda
McClearen and husband, Ray; brother, Joe Carroll Lewis and wife, Dodi; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
and other extended family. June also leaves behind many very special friends at the Gholson Hotel in Ranger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joy Dean Hanson; son, Carly Dean Hanson; grandson, John Daniel Hanson; sister,
Elaine Battenfield; brothers, Manford Lewis, Wesley Lewis and Gary Lewis.
  Funeral services were held Friday, December 4, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home in De Leon with Brother
Jackie Auvenshine   officiating. Graveside services followed in Buffalo Cemetery near Downing.
