the 400 block

A home in the 400 block on East Ross Street was destroyed by fire last week. The fire reportedly began at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, August 20. Volunteer Fire Departments from Rising Star, May, Cross Plains and Sipes Springs responded, as well as the Rising Star Police Department. Jay Marker and his family were able to escape safely, but the house and contents were destroyed.
