Mavs Drop 1st District Game to Bucks

Ten hits weren’t enough for the Eastland Mavericks as it lost a shootout, 10-9 in seven innings, to Breckenridge on Tuesday at Breckenridge. With the Mavericks’ first district loss of the season, their district record sits at 3 wins and 1 loss. Eli Terry did his best to prevent defeat. Terry went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for Eastland. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning. Breckenridge had no answer for Terry, who kept runners off the base paths in his appearance. Terry held Breckenridge hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
