Ranger Bulldog Baseball Update - April 16

The Bulldogs traveled to Eula on Tuesday, April 8 for a district game.  The Bulldogs bats came alive in a 19-6 victory.  Andrew Martinez started the game and went 2-1/3 innings striking out two Eula hitters.  Christian Uhlhorn pitched 2-2/3 innings and struck out four.

 

Conner Motley and Jim Saunders led the Bulldogs at the plate with four hits each.  Motley was four for four with a double and a triple, scored three runs and walked once.  Saunders went four for five with three runs and two stolen bases.

 

Uhlhorn, Scott Thompson and Stanley Stevens each had three hits.  Tyler Wells, Jeffrey Beatty and Dylan Ingram each had two hits.  Dom Flores had one hit.  Uhlhorn hit an inside the park home run.

 

On Friday, April 11 the Bulldogs hosted Santo and lost 14-1.  The bats were quiet with the Bulldogs only managing four total hits.  Conner Motley, Jim Saunders, Christian Delatorre and Dylan Ingram each had one hit.  Jeffrey Beatty had two walks and Delatorre had one.  Delatorre had four stolen bases and scored the only Bulldog run.  Jim Saunders and Jeffrey Beatty each had one stolen base.

 

The hitting woes continued on Monday, April 14 in Albany.  The Bulldogs only managed two hits in a 12-0 loss.  Scott Thompson and Dylan Ingram each had one hit.  Jim Saunders and Jeffrey Beatty each had one walk.

 

The Bulldogs are now 6-14 overall and 5-6 in District 10-1A play.  The Bulldogs will return to action Friday, April 18 in a home game against Gordon.  First pitch is set for 5:00pm.
