Ginger Johnson, age 76, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 in Cisco. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21st at 1:00 pm at FirstBaptist Church in Cisco. Arrangements were handled through Chambers Funeral Home. Virginia Katherine Vaughan was born on August 04, 1938 in Natchez, Mississippi to David Paul Vaughan and Myrtle Mae (Lloyd) Vaughan. She graduated from Central Jackson High School and Hinds Junior College. Ginger moved to Cisco in 1973 and was the city secretary for 26 yearsuntil she retired in 2003. In 2005 she was elected to the Cisco City Council and served until 2011. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed antiques, spending time with her cats and playing the piano. Ginger is survived by her two sons, Keith Johnson of Ft. Worth, TX and Daryle Johnson of Lexington, KY; her sister Peggy Erickson of Cisco, TX and her nephew James Willoughby of Brandon, MS.
