After retiring from the Highway Department she worked for FEMA traveling all over the United States for six years. Her children and grandchildren were her true loves, she never missed any sport events or special occasions. Her four grandsons spent every summer at her home and this was a very special time for all of them. Peggy actually kept Blue Bell ice cream in business by buying so much ice cream for the boys! Her “girl time” with her granddaughter
was always spent at the nail salon having her nails done! Peggy was always sure to make sure that each and every grandchild was treated really special when they were with her! They each felt that they were her favorite! She was a lifelong member of the Coke County Golf Association. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Garrett Jackson. Peggy is survived by her sons, David Jackson of
Bronte, Donnie Jackson and wife Susan of San Angelo and Darryl Jackson and wife Sherry of Christoval; brother, H.D. Willingham, Jr. and wife Brenda of Cisco; sister, Brenda Kay Parsons and husband Waverly of Peaster; grandchildren, Mason Jackson, Kaleb Jackson and wife Alana, Cody Jackson and Kayce Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends. The family would like to give special thanks to
all the staff of Gentiva Hospice, Meadow Creek Nursing Home and Myrtlewood for the love and care they showed towards their mother. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to
Gentiva Hospice. Online condolences may be made to www.shafferpioneer.com
