Bearcats top Panthers by 3 in Final game

The Gorman Panthers have been playing some good basketball early in their season. This past weekend, they had the opportunity to participate in the Rising Star basketball tourney. They played in the championship game against De Leon, falling to the Bearcats 38-35. In the championship game, the Panthers were down early, trailing the Bearcats by 3 after the first quarter. They battled in the 2nd quarter to be down only 1 at the half, 21-20. De Leon’s defense kept the Panthers at bay in the 3rd quarter, allowing only 3 points while putting up 9 of their own. Beginning the fourth quarter, Gorman was down 30-23.
