Round bales of hay near Carbon await transportation Saturday morning to drop offs in Amarillo for fire devastated counties in the Texas Panhandle. The transport is part of a volunteer project started by Bill Riley, owner of H & R Feed Store in Ranger, to deliver much needed hay for livestock feed to the disaster area. As word gets out, many have stepped up to support the mission with donations of hay, drivers, money for fuel, tires, pallets of water and more, Riley said.
