STATE MONUMENTS INSTALLED AT GORMAN ISD

Two monuments in the shape of the state of Texas have been installed in front of Gorman High School. The monuments honor the state champion football team from 1976 and the state champion mile relay team from 2008. These monuments and the paver bricks that are installed in the same location are the result of an effort of the athletic booster club to display the history of Gorman athletics. During the 2013-2014 school year, new banners were hung in the gym to bring the information displayed there up to date, and now with the installation of the state monuments, the project is almost complete.
