Massive Fire in Eastland

A total of 96 firefighters responded from every city in Eastland County plus DeLeon, Lingelville, Stephenville and Erath arrived to assist. 

12 law enforcement and 4 EMS responded. For a total of 112 responders were on the scene. 

The call came at 4:09 PM and was reported as a fully involved structure fire

A couple of side notes: this was the first call that Ladder 6 has been 

employed in an actual structure fire.

Also today was 3 years to the day since Greg Simmons died at the 323 fire in 2011.

Also kind of interesting is the fact that we used brush 627 for several hours to lay down foam with the newly installed Compressed Air Foam system installed by the volunteers. This truck proved to be a valuable asset on this fire in the city.
