Trash Pickup Rate, Community Center, Police Dept. Positions On City Agenda

Gorman City Commission met in regular session on Thursday, Oct. 20. Among items discussed and considered were setting rates for the Republic Service (trash pickup service) rate increase, Gorman Community Center reconstruction, and Gorman Police Dept. Chief and patrol officer position. Opening Prayer was given by Commissioner Kenneth Good followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Robert Ervin shortly after 6:00 p.m. In addition to Commissioner Good and Mayor Ervin, Commissioners Dylan Cogburn, Justin Johnson, and David Stanley were present at the meeting and City Secretary Tacy Warren. Also present: Interim Police Chief Steven Anderson, Margaret Hetrick and a representative from CDBG (Community Development Block Grant).
