SPECIAL REPORT Carbon School Reunion, 2015

We join in saluting the Class of 1965, newest members of the  olden Exes.For a little ‘ancient’ history we here offer a bit of the Class of ‘49; some were present. How was it in the late‘40s? -- the Big War we over and we won, the country was getting back on its feet and it was a brighter world SPECIAL REPORT  arbon School Reunion, 2015to all, especially for the youth. However, it’s a wonder some of us made it to adulthood. Some recall that before I-20 came through there was the old twolane Highway 80. How many miles was it from Carbon to Mingus? No hands please. Thosewere the days there  Carbon Class of 1965 ( Golden Exes) at the Carbon School Reunion - Left to Right - Linda ( Jackson) Neeley, Ronnie Pack, Dwaine Clower, Tim Stacy, Larry Duncan, Addie (Campbell) Walker. Linda (Thackerson) Crouch attended but was not available for photo. shootings and other mayhem on any given Saturday night. I’ll tell you one thing, my grandsons better not be going there now. But aside, there were many, many advantages to gr wing up in Carbon.  One was working as a dish washer at John’s Cafe on Main St. We learned about hard work and the values
