“DO IT YOURSELF” NOODLE, TEXAS, 1967

By Kathy

Even though we had horses to ride, we rode our bikes (not Harley’s, but Schwinn’s or Whites Auto or Western Auto Brand). There were things you could do on bikes that you could not on horses and vice versa. We had a hill west of the old house there at Noodle that was steep enough to cause a thrill and inevitably a spill. My brother Keith inherited a bike from our brother Clint and I inherited
one from my sister Patti. After school, we would wolf down peanut butter and crackers and head for the hill.
