Eastland Hoops Hits “Wall” Again

The Eastland Mavericks basketball team met the Wall Hawks this past week in the Area Round of the basketball playoffs in Coleman. The Hawks and Mavericks played a tight first half. Zach Carlton was the scoring offense for the Mavericks in the half, putting up 12 of the Mavs 18 points. Matt Majors hit the only bucket the Mavs scored in the 2nd quarter. The team hit 6 of 10 free throws to be down only 5 at the half, 23-18.
