The Mavericks stayed atop of the District 8 AAA standings with 2 important wins this past week. With the victories, the Mavs are 5-1 as of Monday, April 20, and are 1 game ahead of the Cisco Loboes for the district lead. Braden Blackwell had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning, but an RBI single by Dante Gomez broke up his no-hit bid.
