A proud day for Cisco Officials. Mayor King accepts the two Tahoes to be used by the City of Cisco, Police Department. Funds from the City and from the USDA Rural Development Grant paid for the Tahoes.

USDA Announces Funding For City Of Cisco Police Dept. Acquires Two New Tahoes

The USDA Rural Development approved a grant for the City of Cisco in the amount of $27,600 to purchase two police vehicles. The City contributed $48,638 toward the cost of the vehicles. With the grant, the City was able to replace two high mileage patrol units and eliminate the high maintenance costs associated with the older vehicles. Thursday afternoon, October 30th, this USDA presentation was made to Mayor King by John M. Powell, Area Director, United States Department of Agriculture RD. Also in attendance at the ceremony were; Diane Williams, Regional Director for Congressman K. Michael Conaway, TX-11, Interim City Manager, Peggy Ledbetter, City of Cisco Secretary, Tammy Osborne, Chief of Police, Larry Wiekel with Officers, Turner and Scurry.
