Texas DMV Brings Big Changes For Vehicle Inspections

By Justin Brundin

Coming next spring, Texas drivers will have a slightly less cluttered windshield to look through, thanks to upcoming changes in registration and vehicle inspection stickers. The changes are purported to save a portion of state spending. The new changes will bring about the end of inspection stickers, but this doesn’t bring an end to vehicle inspections. On Monday, before a state senate committee, Texas Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles Whitney Brewster outlined the coming changes. The two stickers will be merged into one, with drivers being required to have their vehicle inspected 90 days or less before they renew vehicle registration.
