CAUSE OF DEATH IN GORMAN COUPLE'S CASE IS DETERMINED TO BE GUN SHOT WOUNDS
The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a statement in regards to the deaths of a Gorman couple.
The statement contains the following information:
On 4/5/2013, Gorman Police Department Officers responded to a welfare concern at 123 Rogan Street; Gorman, Texas. Officers were given consent to enter the property and upon entry they discovered the bodies of Lance and Karen Richardson. Both died as a result of apparent gunshot wounds.
The Texas Rangers were called to assist with the investigation. The bodies were sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. The final autopsy results are pending. Investigation ongoing.
As of 4:00 PM today, Criminal District Attorney, Russell D. Thomason advised that his office has not yet received the case and therefore, he was unable to comment on the case at this time.
According to Gorman Police Chief, Billy Carson, the bodies were released from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office on Monday, April 7th.
A memorial service was held for the couple at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 9th.
