Rising Star FFA Students - Champions At San Angelo Stock Show

Rising Star FFA was well represented at the 2015 San Angelo Stock Show. Our students competed in the gilt, heifer and angora shows. Micah Carnley, Ray Dollins, Emory Geye and Matthew Lawrence exhibited gilts and Emory placed 3rd in his class in the junior show and 7th in the Certified Texas Bred Registry show. Abby Geye and Emory Geye continued their winning streak with their heifers. Abby exhibited the Champion Hereford and Emory exhibited the Champion Angus. Caryn and Matthew Lawrence endured icy weather but were rewarded when Matthew placed 7th in the fleece, 9th out of the fleece and 8th overall in the Angora show. We are proud of these students and look forward to seeing their continued success in the future.
