Area Doused Anew with Down Pour
Eastland County was touched by the front that brought additional rain and high water marks in many places. Early Wednesday Police Bill Myrick, who had been patrolling the Eastland streets in the Army vehicle reported no major incidents beyond normal flooded streets. His department was blocking off streets which traditionally are flooded, particularly Marsh St., from Valley to Main St., which runs north and south west of the Eastland Cemetery. He reported Moss at Lamar with high water, and later alerts showed these streets east of Seaman in high water: Marsh, Conner, Olive and Plummer. The Eastland County Water Supply District spokesman reported .66 on an inch of rain and a “full” total of 1,375.01 with water going over.
