Loboes Fall To Mustangs In Regional Semis

By Stephen Forester The Cisco Loboes were in unchartered territory. he Loboes’ baseball team had been this far in the playoffs only once before, many, many moons ago. They certainly didn’t play like they were nervous about playing  Their opponent was the Shallowater Mustangs, a tough test, with a pitcher who has already committed to Texas Tech. The Mustangs had only dropped 9 games all season, losing only once in the playoffs. Game 1 Friday afternoon  ent to the Mustangs by 2, 3-1. An error by the Loboes  Shallowater’s one big inning. Game 2 was played Saturday morning. 7 seniors who had graduated the night  before could not participate in their Project Graduation because of the 10 am start. The Loboes came out and scored in the bottom of the 7th inning on a walk off hit by pitch to win, 4-3.
