Saturday, September 3 will be a big day in Rising Star. Twenty five vendors have already signed up for Open Air Market and the Rising Star Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a DoveFest fundraiser at noon. They will be serving fajita tacos with all the trimmings, auctioning off some delicious cakes and pies and other items and drawing the winning tickets for six guns and a gun safe.
