Rising Star is in “high gear” planning a variety of activities for the soon-to-be July 4 weekend, including outdoor & indoor downtown shopping; fireworks, ice cream and apple pie contests and a dance featuring the Last Dance Band. July 4-5 will be exciting for those bargain hunters with the OPEN AIR DOWNTOWN MARKET sponsored by the Rising Star Economic Development Corporation. The
shoppers can come on Friday as some vendors will set up then; all vendors will be open on Saturday; hours to shop are 9 AM-4 PM.
