City Adopts Ordinance For Youth Protection

The Rising Star City Council has passed an ordinance that in part establishes prohibitions related to registered sex offenders with the City. Darwin Archer, Rising Star City Administrator, said that essentially the ordinance tightens the rein on where registered sex offenders can reside and what functions they are prohibited from attending.
