A registered sex offender in Rising Star was hospitalized and is in intensive care at Hendricks after he was severely beaten by the father of a young child. Dustin Abrams attacked Larry Smith, first with a guitar and then fists, Friday night in the 100 block of South Brewster, according to reports.
