Picketville Chapter of DRT Presents Copy of Texas Declaration of Independence

Donna Irby recently visited Ranger Elementary School to present a parchment copy of the Texas Declaration of Independence on behalf of the Picketville Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas to Mrs. Kelly Kunkel,who teaches the fourth grade about Texas history. Founded in 1891, The Daughters of The Republic of Texas is the oldest patriotic women’s organization in Texas and one of the oldest in the nation.
