Condolences were given on the passing of Juanita Brooks of Hawley, Texas. She was the”Lady With the Carriage”. Always happy to enter her beautiful horses and white open coach rig in Ranger Parades. Joe Pilgrim related a story from a local citizen about a phone scam that she had experienced. It showed the personal number popped up on her cell phone screen. This is a definite tell-tale sign that it is a possible scam. Mayor Emery asked that the word be spread about this incident. Be aware of scammers.
