Lady Bulldogs Win the Gorman Hot Hoops Tourney

Rhyne and Mayes – All Tournament Team

The Ranger Lady Bulldogs brought home the championship trophy from the Gorman tournament on Saturday by defeating the De Leon Lady Cats by the score of 54-48. Skyi Rhyne and Erin Mayes were named to the all-tournament team. Both of them turned in double-double performances in points and rebounds in the win against De Leon. Skyi averaged over 15 points a game during the tourney. In the championship game, the Lady Bulldogs started out quick, jumping to a 16-10 lead after the first quarter. The Lady Cats did not go away, though, outscoring the Lady Bulldogs 15-11 in the second quarter to make the halftime score, 27-25 Ranger.
