Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Ranger, Texas will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall, 400 West Main Street, Ranger, Texas.  The following subjects will be discussed, to wit: Citizen’s Presentation; Announcements from City Council-Comments may be made by council or staff, BUT NO ACTION TAKEN on the following topics without specific notice; Approving Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2014-04-28-8; AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANGER, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR A FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1st AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30th; Discuss/Consider with possible action approving Police Chief Gutierrez to attend New Chief Development Program in Huntsville, June 9 through June 13 for mileage, hotel and per diem; Discuss/Consider with possible action approving City Registrar Mary Wells to attend 2014 Vital Statistics Summer Conference June 6, 2014 in Fort Worth, Early registration $110 plus mileage; Approving ORDINANCE NO. 2014-05-12-9: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANGER, TEXAS ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING PARTIAL FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 1, 2014, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2014; APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS AMOUNTS THEREOF, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; Discuss/Consider  Approval of the Gift of land from Richard and Anita Squyres to the City of Ranger contingent on the placement and construction of the City of Ranger's Proposed Skate Board Park on this property. Should this be approved, Richard and Anita Squyres (Owner) have requested that the City of Ranger install and enforce a Curfew on this property similar to the Curfew in place on Willow Park, build a privacy fence on the property line between the proposed Skate Board Park property and the adjacent property (Mobile Homes) on the West side of the proposed Skate Board Park, provide and pay for the survey of this property (Proposed Skate Board Park) and the alley behind this property (east to west) from Lula street to South Sue street, provide a Certificate of Value ($2500.00) Received from Richard and Anita Squyres, and the City of Ranger pay any other associated closing costs; Discuss / Approve the Ranger City Commission giving clarity on what type of the Type 4 B REDC records need to be kept at the Ranger City Hall with the City Secretary that are not currently being turned in or being stored at the Ranger City Hall;

Further: City Commissioners will consider the approval of bills, and minutes of two meetings. They will also consider changing or cancelling the May 26, 2014 City Council Meeting date ( Memorial Day Holiday).
