Mike Merrill July 21, 1972 - January 15, 2015 James " Mike" Micheal Merrill, 42, of Snyder, passed away unexpectedly at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas on January 15, 2015. A celebration of his life was held on January 17, 2015 at 2 o'clock pm at Bell- Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder.. Born in Rankin, TX on July 21, 1972 to James and Johnnie Merrill, he was raised in Sonora, TX. He was a member of the rodeo team and graduated Sonora High School. He attended Cisco Junior College and Western Texas College in Snyder, Tx. Mike was a hunter, fisherman, rancher, welder and a frequent traveler. He was a local business man with a generous and kind heart. Mike was beloved by all who knew him. He loved life and to know him was to love him. Mike’s greatest love was his children. He loved to fish, hunt and share stories of his rodeo days and oilfield experiences. He never met a stranger and was the life of any event he attended. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His death will leave a huge void in his family. Mike was preceded in death by grandparents, F.L. and Lorain Merrill and W.W. and Avelon Harris. He is survived by his parents James and Johnnie Merrill of SRnisyidnegr ,S tKara,n TaXan. Mother of his children, Melinda Short of Snyder, Sisters Pam Tankersley and husband, Scott of Midland, TX, Judy Fawcett and husband, Lee of Gordan, TX, Sondra Pope and husband, Landon of Burkett, TX, Sallie Boyett and husband, Donovan of Moran, TX and brother, John Merrill of Fort Worth, TX as well as many nieces, nephews and dear family friend, Tim Huddleston.
