EASTLAND – Marzelle Helen Bradshaw, 94 of Eastland, passed away Monday August 3, 2015 in Eastland. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 6 atthe First Baptist Church in Eastland with Dr. Shawn Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastland City Cemetery. The family received friends at Edwards Funeral Home Wednesday, 6~8 p.m. Marzelle was born on October 30, 1920 in Eastland to Arthur Woodfin Wright and Ada Jane Reed Wright. She graduated from Eastland High School in 1938. On March 3, 1940 she married Rankin Bradshaw, Jr. in Upton County, TX. They moved to McCamey, TX where they lived for 50 years, except for a few years when Rankin served in the Army during WWII. The couple moved back to Eastland in 1992 to be near family. Marzelle was a homemaker, spending countless hours volunteering as room mother, Girl Scout cookie chairman, carpooling, crafting, antiquing, and creating a wonderful home for the family. In later years she doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they adore her. She was involved in many civic and community organizations including the Women’s Federation of Study Clubs, where she served as President and was a lifetime member, and the McCamey ISD School Board of Trustees. Marzelle served her beloved church in many capacities, the last of which was a member of the bereavement committee. Above all, Marzelle displayed her faith in God on a daily basis, inspiring others with her grace and kindness. Marzelle was preceded in death by her husband, Rankin, and two brothers, James T. Wright of Eastland and Arthur Woodfin Wright, Jr. of McCamey. She is survived by three children, Sandra and husband Bill of San Antonio, Don and wifeRosalie of Eastland, and Micki and husband Cliff of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandson; a brother, Charles Wright of Rising Star; and a sister, Elizabeth Vaughn of Midland; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. private caregivers, and Hospice that have taken such wonderful care of Marzelle as her mortal body failed.
