As we would watch from the dining room window, our faithful Beagle dog, Bashful, would put on a fantastic morning episode of hijinks for us to observe. It was as if he played out little dramatic scenarios in his canine mind. All of his own accord he would play dead, chase his tail, flip and flop around with his toys (old tee shirts, bones, sticks). His credo was to rid humankind of felines. He
would never, ever, let a cat breach his domain.
